A: FAQ is an acronym for "frequently asked questions."

A: It depends.  The faster your PC, the quicker it will be to diagnose and repair problems.  Also, some problems are worse than others, requiring more time.  Only a diagnostic checkup will provide an estimate of how long it might take to fix a particular problem.

A: I only with with PCs.

A: If I say I will fix a problem, I will demonstrate to you that it is fixed, but I do not make any guarantees above and beyond the manufacturers guarantees or warranties.  For example, I can remove a virus and you can turn around and find a way to infect your PC again...I will charge you again to remove the same virus.  I can install a video card but if it burns out due to a manufacturer's defect, I will not replace it. 

A: I work a full time job with a large company, but I can accomodate you on your schedule.  Call me.

A: Linux, Windows (all versions).  Note: Windows 7 is new to me too.  But I can fix it!

A: C, C++, Visual C++, .NET, Java 5+, Dataflex, COBOL.

A: No, but I can refer you to someone who does.  There are things to consider here, such as whether you are in code with the fire marshall.

A: This is not 9-1-1 but I will do the best I can to help you.

A: I can for quick problems.  Over 5 minute calls are subject to a fee.  I don't want to spend hours on the phone fixing your stuff for free!

Q: My software is not valid / legitimate.  Can you still help?
A: No, aside from the legal issues, illegitimite software (downloaded from P2P sites or other sources) are often incomplete, modified or tampered with. For this reason, I only deal with legitimate software.  Be legit!

Q: Are you licensed?  What happens if you get hurt at my location?
A: I am a Sole Proprietor.  I am responsible for any injuries I incur on your site.  I am NOT responsible for ANY damages that result from my services.  That's why YOU have insurance.

Q: You cost a lot less than those other guys.  Do you do good work?  Why should I believe you are good if you are so much cheaper?
A: I charge a fair rate in the hopes that I can get repeat business from satisfied customers.  I also know that many people prevent or avoid proper repair and maintenance of their equipment because they are afraid of the costs associated with these services.  I take the guesswork out of this type of work with my up front pricing, clear estimates and honest recommendations.  I have a strong work ethic and if you treat me right, I will go above and beyond for you. 

Q: Do you take credit card?  When is payment due? 
A: I can take PayPal payments for credit payments.  Payment is required before I leave your site (check, case or money order), except for established customers who have 30 days to pay in full. No personal checks for new customers.

Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: JG Consulting takes your privacy seriously, and I do not sell names or info. All data is kept confidential and secure.
